+ (/ he Month of the Demon in the year 1427 was truly that! Both
assaulted and saved by a large assortment of villains, citizens know not
where to turn. One thing is clear however- it most certainly isn't the
House of Rythus!

As the wicked ones are want to do, the Devenon fountain was plagued by a
bothersome low-life L'shar on the 12th of the month. Unconnected to the
most feared Shadow Ward however, the creature had not their protection and
was fair game to all. It tormented citizens and was in turn threatened
and run off by the most unlikely of protectors*. Lacking sense or good taste,
it continued to skulk about the fountain, assaulting innocent persons unable
to defend themselves.

A happy tale would turn at this point to the arrival of the Nuada to save
the day, but sadly this is no joyful bard song but a chilling accounting of
facts. Arrive, the nuada did, but with cold hearted bias, they turned on
the protectors*. Knocking down those who would achieve some semblance of
peace, the L'shar was left to run wild in the city.

Here, the true tragedy reveals itself. For it was with cold inference and
lack of action that "Lord" Tsang greeted this news. Promptly notified by a
winged messenger of the dire need of his Lordly assistance, the so called
protector of Devenon did not even bother to arrive on the scene to pass
judgement in person. Dismissive of his citizen's welfare, he shames both his
House and the Devenon royalty he serves. Where is Justice to be found, if
not at the feet of those who rule us?

Though often mocked, Lord Cotswald at least is a man of action. But many
agree, including an ex-member of the House Orum*, that these actions
are sick and often far too much. Is there hope to find the correct balance
of action and sanity within our leaders? Between chill indifference and
rabid bloodshed can any of the noble houses remain poised? Perhaps one
should look beyond those who front the Houses and instead to the noble, and
as of yet uncorrupted, blood who are the true foundations for our city? It
must be said though that it is sad times indeed when one must look to the
left and right hand men of our leaders for true Leadership and Aid.

Some of you lucky souls have had the opportunity to meet the delightful
young Bard who went by the name Anathesia, reminiscent of the condition
which she suffers. Though she knows next to nothing of her past, recent
discoveries have revealed that she, in her now forgotten earlier life,
went by the name Talianna. Embracing any and all scraps she can find from
her past, she now goes by the name that is truly hers. Her last name is
still a mystery. If anyone has any knowledge concerning the shadow shrouded
past of this poor woman, please come forward and contact her.

Direct from the High Prior of Raawn Mogh, also known as Vyxaggryth the vile
L'shar, in the Month of the Guardian 1427 D.B., word comes of Suibrox's
defeat. It is the Tattler's sad duty to report that not once, but twice,
was Suibrox thoroughly slaughtered at the hands of this evilness. The
first, it is said, was done with the the Fang of the Sea, after Suibrox
foolishly called the wicked one out. The second round was ended at the tip
of the Nightblade, for the High Prior of Raawn Mogh wanted to make sure
Suibrox learned his lesson. It is now rumored the Bank officials are after
the much battered psionist, for Vyxaggryth thought to drive home his message
by cashing in on a 250,000 coin bounty upon the man. Though one may feel
pity for the crushed creature, a psionist really should have known what he
was getting into...

It has been announced by the new head of the Dazui House, the elusive Lady
Evalyn, that a masquerade ball is to be held on approximately the 16th of
the Dragon, 1428 D.B. Though the event is all news for young ladies about
the city, it has eyebrows of the more skeptical rising. Though it is not
specifically stated to be so, many view this to be a coming out of sorts for
the new Lady into Devenon's High Society. All have been invited though a
dress code appears to have been set. Many hope that this will be the first
of many new actives of the till-now rarely seen young Lady. Others believe
it to be a diversionary tactic to simply please the masses and ease the
tension between citizens and their often disagreeable nobility. Regardless,
many plan to put in appearances. The new Ekur nobility of Phirezal are
rumored to perhaps show and it is whispered that the Master Bard Jherek is
working on a new piece specifically for the event. Be sure to catch next
year's Tattler to hear all about it.

With siblings such as the fair Lucilia and the ever so delightful Luciane,
one would never suspect the latest of the noble Therma name to be rotten
fruit. But the Sul'sylar going by the name Lucalor Therma seems to be just
that. Speaker of vicious lies, deprived of a sense of humor from birth,
and lacking his brother's good looks, the man seems intent on lashing out
at the world around him. So spiteful has he become- it is speculated due to
Nok trauma as a child- Lucalor radically accused this paper's author of such
wicked acts as lying and the slaying of small children. He claims to have
witness the murder of them by the very hand that holds the quill, although
let it be known that never has a life higher then that of animals been taken
by it. Are these outright lies on his part, or should perhaps pity be
extended towards the man, for one is obligated to feel so for them who are
cursed with madness and false visions?
